As many of you have been before in Zurich and already attended guided city tours, we would like to show you a more exotical edge of Zurich: The Masoala Rainforest.

Because of the rapid demoraphic growth and the increasing need of ground for cultivation, the rainforest is disappearing very quickly – today only 4 % of the original rainforest is still intact.

Modern zoos consider themselves to be nature conservation centres and have formulated a common worldwide conservation strategy. The Zurich Zoo verbalized in 1992 draws on this strategy. Its core piece is the Masoala Rainforest. An appealing nature experience with many unique animal and plant species as for example the red ruffled lemur.

After the visit in the Zurich Zoo we will go back to the old town and have dinner in the historic “Zunfthaus zur Saffran” (Limmatquai 51, 8001 Zürich) with music entertainment.
