Membership application

Membership of the Consortium is open to organisations in the Bologna signatory countries that fulfil the following four criteria:

Membership criteria

which have been established by law as corporate bodies or are based on national or regional regulations or agreements;

which have accreditation or accreditation-like practices as one of their principal functions;

which contribute actively to the aims of the Consortium;

which fulfil the ECA Code of Good Practice and/or the European Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance.

Application

The ECA membership fee for 2010 is 3,000 euro. If your agency is interested in joining ECA and if you think that your agency can fulfil the 4 membership criteria above then:

The application should describe why the agency would fulfil the 4 membership criteria.

The Management Group of the Consortium will act as membership review committee and will consider applications for membership of ECA. The Consortium decides about the membership.

Conference on Joint Programmes

ECA will organise the conference Joint Programmes: Too many cooks in the kitchen? The conference is aimed at agencies, higher education institutions, students, recognition authorities and governments, and will be held in Graz (Austria) on 10 and 11 June 2010.

The European Consortium for Accreditation in higher education (ECA) has been established in Córdoba in November 2003 and renewed in Kraków in June 2008.
