Graz is the second-largest city in Austria. The city is situated in the southeast of Austria near the border to Slovenia. It is approximately 200 km southwest of Vienna. Graz's "Old Town" is one of the best-preserved city centres in Central Europe, ennobled and protected as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site.
FROM GRAZ AIRPORT TO CITY CENTRE
By bus
The bus lines 630 and 631 leave right in front of the airport. They reach Graz city centre (Jakominiplatz) within 20 minutes. Single tickets are 1,90 € (ticket is valid for one hour in public transport throughout Graz). They can be purchased at vending machines at the airport or in the bus. The buses leave generally twice an hour.
By train
The suburban train S5 connects the airport (Flughafen) to Graz main station (Graz Hbf). S5 trains leave generally once an hour, but more often during rush hour. It takes 11 minutes and the ticket costs 1,90 € (ticket is valid for one hour in public transport throughout Graz).
From Graz main station to the city centre (Jakominiplatz) take tram 3 or 6 (10 minutes).
By taxi
Taxis are found outside the terminal. A journey to the city centre is about 30 € and will take 15 to 20 minutes.

Take bus 63 heading to Petersbergenstraße, get off at “Universität” (10 minutes) Alternatively, take bus 58 heading to Mariagrün, get off at “Mozartgasse” (8 minutes), then walk some 200 metres. |
FROM JAKOMINIPLATZ TO VENUE

Take bus 39 heading to „Universität/ReSoWi” get off at last stop, then walk some 200 metres. |
FROM VIENNA AIRPORT TO GRAZ
Alternatively, you can start your journey from Vienna Airport. Take the shuttle bus from Vienna airport to the train station called "Meidling". The trains to Graz leave here every hour. The direct journey takes 2h30.

Public transportation:
One standard tariff (zone 101) applies for the whole city of Graz (including the airport). Single tickets which are valid for one hour cost 1,90 €.
