The Catalan University Quality Assurance Agency, AQU Catalunya, promotes and evaluates the quality of the Catalan higher education system. It is a public-law entity of the Generalitat de Catalunya.

AQU was founded in 2000 as a successor of the Agència per a la Qualitat del Sistema Universitari a Catalunya that was founded in 1996. AQU is a full member of ENQA and registered on EQAR.
